aaaallll....most Su...mmmmer

Our sparkly ladybug landed in Dublin this morning for her summer internship and class. She will be a senior in college come fall. We had a quick summer spent over days rather that 3 months with her, and now she is settled into her new Uni digs until August. So far she is loving the first day in Dublin.

Our rainbow  girl is getting ready to take her Intermediate moves freestyle figure skating test later this morning. A year spent with her new coach and skating club, so much is happening in her school, skating, and friend circles. She will be on summer break in 10 days. Sophomore year is almost complete.
Animal lover girl is continuing on with her nursing studies and will be hiking lots this summer.
We will head to Muskoka to do some maintenance work at the cottage and enjoy Canada Day, a very big celebration this year, Canada turns 150 years old. We love so many things about Canada. Politics being one of those.
Catalyst man and I are gearing up for his new Multisport facility opening after we get through the July 4 festivities with our family and Cape Cod launches into summer. So much to do. After a year sabattical from Chiropractic practice he has found a space here and we are gearing up for the demo and reconstruction phase of the buildout for our new Catalyst Wellness + Performance facility. So much going on here.
Mid-July we will hop over to Dublin to check out Ireland and visit our sweet ladybug. So looking forward to unstructured life for a little while. I have subbed in our 5-6 year school most days this spring which can be draining. The kids make it rewarding though, It's a happy occupation to work with kids. So many great young people in the world. I hope their hard work, perseverance, and optimism leads our world forward as they mature into the next generation!

May... flowers, showers, burning off the old, welcoming green, grass, leaves, and abundance.... welcoming light, love, and peaceful moments.

Late last night our ladybug arrived home with a carload of her University possessions, unloading to rest and study for exams. Our rainbow girl, reading late and early, working on school commitments and balancing piano and skating commitments. This morning, breakfast and bus routines, and the Canuck in our family has headed home to Canada for two 5K races with his brother in Mississauga and Toronto and then he'll head North to Muskoka and Haliburton to work on projects and improvements for the Cabin and visit his parents final resting place.
The spring rain has turned into green, yellow, purple, and pinks, brighter colors on the way. A green explosion happening on Cape Cod with a profusion of yellow pollen covering our windshields. Our grass was cut by our trusty yard handler yesterday. Wishing to control the ticks to the underbrush of the woods, where they crawl out from this time of year. Watching our trusty terrier as she enters the house after her morning read of the animal scent news, scattered among the fauna and earth that makes up our space.
Off to school to monitor testing, reading a great book of interest because of the History of the American Copper King, W. A. Clark. the story of Huguette Clark. "Empty Mansions." A story I have enjoyed and learned so much American history from.

Life is happening. I am looking forward to getting out there. Bike, beach, or pool, walk in the park, on the streets, or in the forest. I'm game. Let's go!

a new year has arrived

Happy 2017.
time ticking along.
The week off of school has come with many emotions. The night school let out for vacation two young men in our community had a horrible accident. They were on their way home from Hockey practice. They were young men whom had just won a state Championship with their Football team, and were loved and known by so many here. So, tell your kids to drive slow, be aware, and remember that cars are dangerous.
The Christmas day holiday was so relaxing, and it was wonderful to be with all our family. We visited with friends and went to a small gathering on New Years Eve. It was the little things this year that meant so much.
Tomorrow our Rainbow girl goes off to a sad school. Big changes will take place there tomorrow as the kids return to classes without their friends, classmates, and in some cases siblings trying to go on without two young men that were so loved.
Sending love and light and prayers out to the families, friends, and classmates here, and around the world. Wishing for love and peace to find those in sad and darkened places. For Hope to penetrate sadness, and for healing to begin as the harsh reality of life ticks along.
