The weather feels remarkably warm and wet. No ice crystals on blades of grass or crunchy ice under feet. Welcome and a bit freaky when historically all I have wished for on Christmas is snow.... sleigh tracks, hoof prints, grain left out for reindeer or caribou.... the holidays are here, yet in so many ways the world has changed for me. My children have grown, a young adult and teenager. Santa Claus has been delegated to the younger children and I have been left readjusting to another new realization. Days pass and kids grow, and photos capture lives and history. I am accepting the growth and change to find new memories and love the moments. They are what I truly savor in life. Wishing you beautiful moments to cherish today and health and wellness in the coming days. I am relishing the solstice passing late last night. Incremental light returning to our part of Earth. Stars in the Universe. The moon bringing light at night and beauty. And sound. My Kids voices and music, I love so many kinds of music. Sounds of nature, music, voices, and our animals sounds... Beautiful sunrise yesterday morning as my rainbow sparkle girl and I watched the pink and blue sky vibrant then fading at the bus stop. Have been working along through the fall to get things in order. Streamlining our lives for the holidays. Wishes for meaningful and simple moments with the precious people in our lives. Well along the way and aiming for January to be ready for the new year and changes as our family will be spending more time together indoors and under blankets while we catch up on the winter chores. loving, living lives... happy late august. many musical moments. stars swirling and waves of energy, water, sound, light... life, fish nibbling at our feet as we cooled our bodies in the salt water of the dock and boat ramp yesterday afternoon to breathe.
We missed the high tide with art projects in the yard. so were reduced to walking down the boat ramp and jumping off the dinghy dock. Lovely still to cool.

Fun summer days of unstructured life drawing to a close as we stock the hacienda for fall lunches and the pack-it-all-up trek to a new University for our "twizzle"girl scout camp counseling nature specialist and lifeguard.... shuffling sand covered feet in grass before showers... warm porch boards and naps in the sun, dinners on the patio surrounded by perennials, hummingbirds, and line dried towels. loving all the moments... each one a step to the future. love, light and peace to all. especially starlight
