I have a dear childhood friend who I met at an evening church gathering... she with girl scouts and a "dumpy" pony neclace.... me with my church group and interest in her "dumpy neclace." Her name is "Cally Apple" and she changed my life. From instant friendship, sleepovers, bike and pony rides, movies, malls, cookie baking and marshmallow jars at her house, oats and honey at mine. We have been friends for 35 years.
The connections we make because of image in life are amazing. In our case, a small simple child's neclace became the beginning to a significant friendship. One that has weathered life's moments, time in her pool in the Beluga whale club, ponies, Dumpy, Roscoe, Redstar, and Ching.... schools, boyfriends, husbands, children, and families....
Dearest Cally....
Happy Birthday....
In your honor I will pick up pieces of the unnatural in my beachside world and think of you in your southern city world. I will love you from afar as you are a star forever in my world.
Happy Earth Day everyone...
I try to make the world a better place in my small footprint everyday. I hope you will to.
